About Me

Liz Scherer, PT, DPT
Owner

Liz is a 2010 graduate from the St. Catherine's University Doctor of Physical Therapy program. For the past 14 years she has been working full time in the neuro-rehabilitation setting, specializing in rehabilitation for people who have suffered traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries,  and stroke, as well as all other neurological conditions including; multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, ALS, Parkinson's disease, and more.  Early in her career, Liz became a specialist in wheelchair seating and positioning,  which quickly became a passion. In her practice, she realized how critical mobility equipment is for an individual to achieve maximal levels of independence, comfort, and overall ability to engage with their community and loved ones.  Unfortunately, a dedicated mobility clinic was lacking in this community, and these needs were grossly under achieved for much of the population.  Sitfit was established to satisfy a community's great need, and a therapist's great passions.   Liz is overjoyed to be able to provide this service to the community, and works closely with other industry professionals to ensure a whole person approach and cutting edge technology.
